Prison Education Resources
A number of teaching activities designed for use with people who are teaching, or intend to teach in prisons are available via the links below. (The resouces include PTLLS assessment references mapped against C&G 7303 as per the document accessible via the final link on this page.)
Some of these may be more appropriate for one group than for others. For example, they may be appropriate for those teaching in the Education department of a prison but not for all those in the Learning and Skills sections such as Instructional Officers. Others may be more useful with a group that has had little or no experience of teaching in prisons, so a degree of judgement about which to use with whom is necessary.
